This IronRidge sleeve (GM-DB2-SLV01-M1) is the clamp-on collar that connects a diagonal brace to a vertical pipe leg on an IronRidge Ground Mount built with 2" pipe. IronRidge's catalog calls it the "GM 2" Sleeve, Diagonal Brace".
IronRidge Ground Mount combines XR100 or XR1000 rails with locally sourced 2" or 3" steel pipe or mechanical tubing. Vertical pipes (piers) are set in concrete or ground screws, and horizontal pipes run across their tops. A diagonal brace runs at an angle between a north and a south leg to stiffen the structure.
One brace uses two sleeves: one low on the north leg and one high on the south leg, per IronRidge's cut sheet and manual. The brace tube and bolt hardware are separate parts.

- 2" pipe ground mounts that need extra support: IronRidge says its optional diagonal brace is for installations that require extra support.
- Completing a 2" brace assembly: IronRidge's cut sheet lists two sleeves, one brace tube and one hardware kit for each brace.

- A 2" brace tube: IronRidge lists two lengths for 2" pipe: 88.5" (GM-DB2-TB01-M1) and 106.5" (GM-DB2-TB02-M1).
- Brace hardware: The GM-DB-HW01-M1 hardware kit holds the bolts, set screws, washers and nuts for a brace, per IronRidge's cut sheet.
- A second sleeve: Each brace needs two sleeves.
May be required
- Top caps for 2" pipe: IronRidge says to install diagonal braces before the top caps.

Important Considerations
- 2" pipe only. Use the 3" sleeve (GM-DB3-SLV01-M1) on 3" pipe.
- Install order. IronRidge's manual says to install diagonal braces before the top caps.
- Pipe is not included. IronRidge Ground Mount uses installer-supplied 2" or 3" Schedule 40 steel pipe (ASTM A53 Grade B, galvanized) or approved galvanized mechanical tubing. See the pipe specifications in IronRidge's Ground Mount manual.
- Engineering and permits. IronRidge says actual structural capacities are defined by PE-stamped project plans. Use IronRidge's Design Assistant and certification letters, and check local codes and soil conditions.
