Product Overview
The Briggs & Stratton SimpliPHI Floor Mount for 6.6 (part 053082) is the base that a floor-standing stack of SimpliPHI 6.6 batteries sits on. Briggs & Stratton calls it the ground base or floor mount base. Every SimpliPHI 6.6 stack needs either this floor base or the separate wall mount base underneath it, and one base holds one stack of up to three battery modules plus the controller on top.
The base bolts to a concrete or wood floor and keeps the stack level. Even on the floor base, the stack is also tied to the wall behind it using the wall bracket parts that come with each battery module. Briggs & Stratton says the floor base is for non-seismic zones only; in seismic zones, use the wall mount base instead.
Best For
- Garage and utility-room installs in non-seismic areas: Stand a SimpliPHI 6.6 stack on a concrete or wood floor next to a wall.
- Each stack in a multi-stack system: Order one base per stack, up to six stacks.
- Concrete garage floors: The manual gives anchor sizes for concrete floors, and for wood floors with lag screws through the subfloor.

What You May Also Need
Usually required
- SimpliPHI 6.6 battery modules: One to three per base. Each module's box includes the wall bracket parts used to tie the stack to the wall.
- SimpliPHI 6.6 Battery Controller: Required on top of every stack.
- Floor and wall fasteners: Anchors or lag screws are not included. Choose them for your floor and wall material using the sizes in the manual.
May be required
- Shims: If the floor is not level, the manual says shims can be used to level the base.
Optional upgrades
- EnergyTrak monitoring: Briggs & Stratton's gateway and app for watching battery status and getting fault alerts.
Check current manufacturer documentation before combining components, especially batteries, inverters, communications equipment and system-control hardware.
Important Considerations
- Non-seismic zones only. If your area has seismic requirements, use the SimpliPHI 6.6 wall mount base instead. Your local code office (AHJ) can tell you what applies.
- Only for SimpliPHI 6.6. This base is made for the SimpliPHI 6.6 battery stack. It is not a general battery rack.
- Level matters. The stack must stand upright with less than 1° of tilt. Check that the floor is level and the wall is plumb before drilling.
- Location rules still apply. Follow the SimpliPHI 6.6 manual for allowed locations, clearances (stacks at least 3 ft apart) and a non-flammable mounting surface.
