DC to AC Inverter/Charger

The Samlex PST Series inverters are pure sine wave inverters giving you the clearest electronic signal possible. This high efficiency DC-AC inverter converts 12 Volts DC (from a 12V battery bank) to 1500 watts of pure sine-wave AC power and features two GFCI outlets.

Solar Charge Controller

Morningstar’s ProStar is the world’s leading mid-range PWM (pulse width modulated) solar controller for both professional and consumer applications. The ProStar controllers are known for their durability and set new standards for reliability and self-diagostics. This 30A version features an easy to read digital meter display and a 5 year warranty.

Batteries

Deka Solar batteries are engineered and tested to provide reliable, long-lasting back-up power for PV and renewable energy applications where the batteries will be charged/discharged on a daily basis. These sealed AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries are spill proof and 100% maintenance free.

This home solar system includes (2) 6V, 190Ah batteries, which will be wired together for a 12V, 190Ah battery bank. Deep cycle batteries should not be discharged lower than 50%, so a battery bank of this size will provide approximately 460 Watt hours (Wh) of energy per day, for two days when fully charged. This is a rough estimate of capacity, actual capacity can change based on temperature, state of charge and the condition of the batteries. Additional batteries can be added to this system (either 2 or 4) to increase the capacity of the battery bank.
