Product Overview
The Sol-Ark 18K-2P-N (Limitless 18K) is an 18 kW continuous hybrid all-in-one inverter for large residential grid-tied, backup, and off-grid systems. It delivers high continuous and surge power from a 48 V battery bank while accepting substantial DC and AC-coupled PV.
Relative to the 12K and 15K Sol-Ark models, the 18K increases continuous AC to 18,000 W, surge to 36,000 W (10 s), battery current to 350 A, and usable PV to 28.8 kW (32.4 kW supported STC) with three high-current MPPTs.
Best For
- High-demand homes needing 18 kW continuous backup / hybrid output
- Large PV arrays and 200 A grid passthrough whole-home designs
- 48 V lithium (or lead-acid where supported) banks with CANBus / RS485 BMS
Key Features
- 18,000 W continuous; 36,000 W surge for 10 s
- 3 MPPTs / 2 inputs; 36 A operating / 54 A Isc per MPPT
- 350 A continuous battery charge/discharge
- 200 A grid passthrough; GEN port for generator or AC-coupled PV
- Integrated PV DC disconnect, GFP, AFCI, RSD control, 200 A AC breaker
- Stackable up to 12 units; Wi-Fi / LAN monitoring
- IP65 / NEMA 3R enclosure; 10-year standard warranty

Compatibility / Important Considerations
- Confirm the exact firmware/datasheet revision for AC-coupled and battery voltage limits on the unit you receive.
- Use batteries and RSD devices on Sol-Ark’s current compatibility lists.
- Professional installation required. This is a heavy, high-current appliance — plan mounting, conductors, and disconnects accordingly.
