Product Overview

The S-5! CorruBracket is a bottom-fixed metal roof bracket for exposed-fastened corrugated roofing. S-5! says it fits U.S. corrugated profiles 7/8" and 3/4" high with a rib pitch of about 2.67" (68 mm).

It sits in the low of the corrugation and fastens through the roof panel into the supporting structure. S-5! says CorruBracket must go into wood decking, wood or steel purlins, or trusses, never into the metal roofing alone.

Factory-applied butyl sealant sits in a reservoir in the base, which S-5! says protects the sealant from UV and over-compression. Attach rails or other equipment with an M8 bolt in the threaded hole.

Best For

  • 7/8" and 3/4" U.S. corrugated metal roofs: S-5!'s stated profile range, with about 2.67" rib pitch.
  • Railed solar and heavy-duty attachments: S-5! names rail-mounted PV, its S-5-PV Kit for direct attachment, and ColorGard snow retention as applications.
  • Roofs with accessible structure below: Each bracket fastens into decking, purlins or trusses under the panel.

What You May Also Need

Usually required

  • Screws for your roof structure: S-5! does not supply them. Pick the metal-to-metal or metal-to-wood screw S-5! specifies for your purlins or deck.
  • An M8 bolt and your rail or mounting hardware: S-5! gives a tightening value for an M8-1.25 × 16 mm hex flange bolt in critical applications. Check whether your rail maker lists CorruBracket as an approved attachment.
  • A string line: S-5! recommends one to keep brackets in a straight line.

May be required

Optional upgrades

  • S-5! CorruBracket 100T: A top-fixed alternative for the same corrugated profiles that can fasten into the sheeting only. See CorruBracket 100T.

Check current manufacturer documentation before combining components, especially batteries, inverters, communications equipment and system-control hardware.

Important Considerations

  • Into structure only. S-5! says CorruBracket must never be fastened into the metal roofing alone.
  • Corrugated profiles only. S-5! says CorruBracket is not made for folded seams and does not use setscrews.
  • Rail approval. IronRidge's current XR Flush Mount manual does not list CorruBracket among its approved third-party attachments. Confirm your rail maker's approval before designing around it.
  • Engineering is your responsibility. S-5! says the user or installer is responsible for all engineering and design, including spacing. S-5! publishes load test results on its website for load-critical designs.
