Product Overview
IronRidge MLPE bonding hardware (BHW-MI-01-A1) mounts a microinverter or power optimizer to an IronRidge XR rail and bonds it to the racking. IronRidge calls it Microinverter Bonding Hardware, or the Microinverter Kit.
Each kit is a 1/4-20 × 0.75" stainless steel T-bolt with a 1/4-20 flange hex nut. The T-bolt drops into the top rail slot, and the nut tightens the device's mounting flange to the rail.
IronRidge publishes the devices approved for this mount in its XR Flush Mount manual. Some devices need one kit and others need two, depending on the mounting flange.

Check current manufacturer documentation before combining components, especially batteries, inverters, communications equipment and system-control hardware.
Important Considerations
- Device-specific steps. IronRidge says to remove the grounding washer on AP Systems QS1, QS2, QT2, DS3 and YC600 and on Yotta inverters, and the stainless clip on Tigo "A" devices. Do not remove clips from AP Systems rapid shutdown devices.
- Placement. IronRidge says MLPE devices shall be installed near module frames whenever possible.
- Part number. IronRidge's documents print this part as BHW-MI-01-A1 and as BHW-M1-01-A1. Both describe the same T-bolt and flange nut.
