Product Overview

The Enphase IQ System Controller 3G (SC200G111C240US01) connects the home to grid power, IQ Battery 5P, solar PV, and a supported AC standby generator. It provides microgrid interconnect device (MID) functionality with automatic grid-to-backup transition.

Compared with IQ System Controller 3, the 3G model adds generator support and uses a single 80 A storage OCPD space. Battery capacity on the Americas datasheet is up to 20 kWh without PCS and 40 kWh with PCS.

Best For

  • Enphase backup systems that include a standby generator on the IQ System Controller 3G platform.
  • Service-entrance or load-center interconnection where a NEMA 3R MID with included System Shutdown Switch is specified (US service-equipment use per the datasheet).

  • CTRL-SC3-NA-01 for wired CTRL to Combiner 5/5C and IQ Battery 5P.

Important Considerations

  • IQ System Controller 3G supports generator integration; IQ System Controller 3 does not. Do not mix storage OCPD expectations (1×80 A on 3G vs 2×80 A on Controller 3).
  • Americas datasheet Compatibility lists IQ Battery 5P, IQ Combiner 5/5C, COMMS-KIT-02, and IQ6/IQ7/IQ8 (and M Series only where IEEE 1547:2018 is not yet adopted). Enphase does not support mixing IQ8 with other microinverter series on the same IQ Gateway.
  • Approved for use as service equipment in the United States; not suitable as service equipment in Canada per the datasheet footnote.
  • Professional installation required. Follow Enphase instructions and the NEC.
