Samlex America PST 600W 12V Pure Sine Wave InverterWrite a review

I do outdoor events requiring a complete sound system running on available power. The amps get shore power. My mixer, mixer lighting, effects, and 24 track recorder get power from my Samlex 600W PSW Inverter.

I run on a deep discharge RV battery with a Samlex 30A charger set to charge and float a load. I run the charger continuously through an expendable surge protector to shore power.

When some fool delivered AC to the sound booth with a Variac in the light booth--and his power sagged during the show, the charger quit, and the inverter continueed on battery. The input voltage droppedl; however, the output AC remained constant--no transients.

I watched everybody else grab his smoking gear in agony while I sat in my little pool of light and AC sanity--my stuff still working as usual. They didn't kid me about my power after that.

This inverter is quieter than the power in my own house.

It's dead quiet. Since I'm always on ship's power, I do not worry about killing my expensive gear with brown outs from motor starts, light dimmer hum, and transients.

I'm putting one in my camper for silent AC at star parties.

It has been the best single piece of gear I have. You'd be surprised how many items will NOT run on modified sine waves. My electric mattress pad only runs on the Samlex.

The camper generator is too insensitive to use as a source for my electronics. The Samlex works quietly--anywhere.

An output transistor quit and took the Samlex off line. Samlex replaced the unit without question.

I've used it constantly for extended (several day) periods, and it just keeps on working. I've had it for years now.

Buy it. You will be pleased. At 600W it is well matched for a single 12V battery. The price is right.

Clean, Stable Power by Mark Machcinski

Just put the inverter through it's paces. It's GREAT!!! Hooked up the O'scope and showed nice clean sine wave. Output voltage is very stable and frequency is the same. I would suggest this unit for anyone considering a 600 watt inverter. Good price too!

I have tried this one with sensitive equipment, professional cameras for photo and video, and it has even powered hi-end flashes.
Its a very good feature the fan works only when needed,so its really quiet.
For applications that uses not more than 600W (stable), this is a very good option, hi quality power for an accesible price.

Easy to install, runs cool and quiet AND NONE of the "hash" induced into communications equipment from "modified sine wave" inverters.

Wish there was a little more technical information included on the RJ-type accessory connector though...

Good price, runs cool by Craig Flanders

I was surprised by how long the unit runs before the fan kicks on, and how little the fan runs, runs real cool.
