Gotta love theses charge controllers. Very efficient but inexpensive. The smaller cheaper versions are intrinsically safe so they work great in a moisture rich environment even though it is not recomended. I have three different Morningstars in three different types of applications and they all still work like new. Highly recomended over other brands that I have used.

One year ago..I had purchased a 65 watt solar panel to power
a 15 inch LCD TV,and a small floresent light in my basement.After doing more research on solar panels and battery bank charging,i found out i needed a charge controller to keep my battery bank from over charging and distroying my expensive deep cycle batteries.I went to many different online forums and asked what to get,and the answer i got the most, was the Morningstar.I ordered it from the Alternative energy store in Jan.2006.I wired to my PV system one year ago and havent had any problems at all,in fact i have been using my TV and light almost every night and forgot about my Morningstar charge controller until browsing this web site and i decided to do this review.This is a Grade A charge controller.I also liked the price!!

I bought this charge controller after hearing many good reviews of Morningstar's products in Home Power magazine. I was in the market for an inexpensive charge controller to store the energy my panel generates in a day in a battery for use at night to charge my laptop. It is very efficient at recharging the battery and very easy to set up.
