Nickel Iron Battery 300Ah 12V
300-12
Another great alternative to energy storage for the renewable energy market - Nickel Iron batteries! Encell Technology has created the world's most durable and longest cycling battery. If you're tired of replacing your lead acid batteries every 6 or 7 years, these are the batteries for you. They get 11,000 cycles on average, at 80% depth of discharge, or 30 years - so basically you'll never have to replace them! This battery is a great solution for those who want a non-toxic storage option, that's durable and rugged, with the lowest lifetime cost, and the peace of mind that they will last for the long haul.
Fused iron plates, manufactured by Encell Technology, create a stronger and more efficient iron electrode. Unlike lead acid batteries, the plates of the NiFe battery do not dissolve into the alkaline electrolyte. There is no suphation because the plates don't change state. So because of this low solubility, that battery has the ability to survive frequent cycling. Additionally, extreme temperatures won't affect capacity of the Nickel Iron battery, as they would for Lead Acid batteries. The alkaline electrolyte in the US Series Nickel Iron Battery is a special patented formula by Encell - you get over 11,000 cycles before needing an electrolyte refresh! That means you can work this battery for up to 30 years before needing to change the electrolyte.
In general, these cells like to be worked! Charge them up and push your batteries hard with a heavy load. You will find that your battery performs better with heavy use than if you let it sit in float charge.
