Rebates

Hi, I am Mary and live in N.J. We are building a new home and heard that the U.S. Govt gives a rebate to those who install solar panels.  Is a rebate given by the electric co. also?  We don't know much about solar energy.  thank you

Hello Mary.
You may want to start with looking up New Jersey at the following web site. www.dsireusa.org -its self explanatory. Next you may have to check directly with the electric power supplier for the home in question. Be prepared this has the potential of driving one to pull their own hair out. http://www.njcep.com/ -if the above site is not working properly try this one.
