Sun Mar composting toilets

I am considering a Sun Mar compact or Excel composting toilet for a grid connected house. I have read that the fans are really noisy and that this can be remedied by changing to a universal wall cube.
Has anyone done this and where did you find the universal wall cube. My local Radio Shack guy looks at me like I just asked for a ride to the moon when I asked about this item.
