SOLAR ENERGY BANK

i have a small resort hotel on the caribbean coast of mexico(playa del carmen, quintana roo).  I am giving a presentation to a group of mexican, cuban and american scientist nov. 8 about creating a non profit bank to fund the installation of solar energy and other alternative energy sources.

it would improve the presentation if i had solid information and graphics on the topics listed below.  but there aint no public library down here and i am not that expert at the internet.

yours truly,

Rick Jones
Blue Parrot Inn
Playa del Carmen, Mexico

so i am asking for any help you might be able to give to locate information and graphics about these topics.

1)The current cost of purchasing enough solar panels to run from a small home or business to a 200 room resort with air conditioning.

2)where i could get graphics of  a complete alternate energy package for a house and/or a medium size business and the complete installion cost.

3)graphs of the rise in productivity of solar and wind power souces.

4)the longevity of solar panels and solar systems.
if it takes 8 years to pay for the energy savings and the equipment wears out in 9 years there is not a lot of incentive to invest.  but if the panels have another 5-10 years of life thats another storey.

there are many other bits and bytes of information that would aid this presentation and i am open to any.

the basic concept behind the bank is to get philanthropic support for inicial funding.  then loan to homeowners and businesses the funds to install solar and wind energy etc. then they pay the bank back with a percentage of the savings they realize not being hooked up to the grid. start a parallel private company to do the installation and maintenance and make the process as painfree as possible to the consumer.

charge a minimal interest so the bank becomes at least parcially self funding.

the net effect is the client has immediate benefits in less cash out and qwhen the loan is repaid his energy are virtually free.

Look at the website for homepower magazine. They always have scematics and costs listed for systems. Also backwoods solar has a free catalog that shows what is needed for systems. website is backwoodssolar.com.  You can also look into wind power at the american wind energy association.at awea.com
