#1 -  Renewable Energy > Technical Discussion: Other > Going Grid Tie
I am going grid tie and I would like some tech assistance.
I have solar panels, wind mill and small hydro unit the max I can produce is about 40 amps. I have 1500amp/hr batt storage.
What will I need to go from the meter to my main breaker panel and then how do I wire the inverters to the panel.
If some one could give me a basic wiring schematic I think I can go from there.
TIA
Don

My question is :if the reading is Kwh 11.14 is that translated to 11,140 Kwh?
Any help appreciated

Hi Jerry
I will take the inverter I'll call u tomorrow and make shipping arrangements. UPS is the best shipper for my area. I have a pay pal account so I agree that will be a good way for payment.
Thanks
Don

#8 -  Renewable Energy > Technical Discussion: Other > Re: Trace 3624 will not wake up
Hi Thomas
Thanks for the reply, yes I have tried the defeat mode.
I think there is a relay in the AC transfer board gone bad.
Do you know if the boards can be replaced?
Don

#10 -  Renewable Energy > Technical Discussion: Other > Trace 3624 will not wake up
I have a DR 3624 trace inverter and I can't get it to wake up when i hook up the DC supply all it does is click I looked inside and there seems to be a relay that is clicking.
Any thoughts?  Can the boards be replaced?

#11 -  Renewable Energy > Technical Discussion: Other > Re: Whisper H200 Wind generator
Hi Bob
I have one and I am very pleased with it so far, I have had it running for about 15 months now.
Don't plan on it doing anything more than trickle charging for the long run. But I am not in the high wind area.
Over all I don't think you can go wrong.
Good luck and happy generating
Don

1.If I stack 2 2524 outback inverters what will the advantage be in terms of power produced and battery charging amps.
2. What additional wires and equipment will be needed? I am running 1 inverter now and have the outback mate, and  C-40 controller.  I know I'll need a hub, but need help on the other equip. needed.
Any help will greatly appreciated.

Distance from Hydro to Bart's is 294ft Through alum wire 2/0 triplex . Solar array is 90 ft wind mill is 170 ft.
Cabin is located 100 ft from Hydro and 194 ft from Bart's
I have a spare Tracs 36/24 inverter.
As for running a AC line I can't cross the road with AC just DC
Thanks for your input

#14 -  Renewable Energy > Technical Discussion: Other > Powering cabin from house system
I have a cabin by the creek between my house and my hydro system, the 24 volt wire runs by the cabin to my batteries.
Would there be any problems with putting a 24v inverter in the cabin and tapping into the wire going to the batteries as it has power full time even when the hydro is not running.
I also have a wind generator and solar panels tapped into the same line to feed the batteries. All systems are on a C-40 controller to a 24v dump load, the wind mill has it's own controller.
TIA for any advice anyone can give me.
Don

#15 -  Renewable Energy > Technical Discussion: Other > Disconnect wind generator at tower
I am a little confused about what I can disconnect when power is being generated. During lighting storms can I disconnect the breaker switch at the tower of my wind mill (whisper 200) and not have the current going anyplace? Or is it like my Hydro that has to have a place for the current to go! Any advise will be helpful.
TIA
Don

#16 -  Renewable Energy > Technical Discussion: Other > Lighting strikes
Help what to do , I have been hit by lighting twice in the past year, the 1st time it just shut down my inverter and the last time is almost fried it the voltage is fluctuating between 104 & 120 and the cooling fan will not shut off.
I have a fx 3524 outback.
I have lighting proctors on all equipment and I am grounded.
Is there any way to distract the lighting away from my site.
I have a 50' wind mill, solar panels are about 25 feet high, i also have Hydro
