Gable Fan & Solar Panel by ERIC MONTELONE

Fan works great! But I wish there were some information in regards to protecting the solar panel. Or if there were a protector that could be made so HALE would not damage it...

I suggest a glass shield that slips over the panel having a clamp where the screws that hold the panel to the brackets mounted on the roof. This way if the glass breaks, it would be cheaper to replace the glass than the panel.

My solar panel has some damaged cells, but still works when
the sun is directly in contact with it. It used to start
powering the fan about 10:00 am stopping at 8:30 pm. Now
it Comes on at 11:30 am and goes off at 7:00 pm.

The solar panel is $200 to replace, I am trying to cut colling cost, not spend more on the application.

I still give the product a positive review.

Works great at barn for horses by Ann Livingston

Those box fans everyone uses are expensive to run, and are a fire hazard. I am trialing this solar one, and put the panel on the roof over the stall. Drilled a small hole through the roof (corrogated metal) and ran the wire down to the stall. Hung the fan on the stall grill outside the stall. Fans runs like the dickens, and runs just when I need it at the hottest time of the day. So far, so good, so I'm doing more stalls!
