I got a couple of these to work on some small projects with. I like that you can connect the wires in back to make it work for 6v or 12v depending on how you hook it up. It is a super sturdy product with plenty of space at the corners for drilling holes in the acrylic without getting near the electronic parts. You can screw this onto the outside of anything and use it without any further weather protection. I'm pretty sure you could throw this product down the street and it would do fine.

I plan to use mine to power small DC fans at the top of a semi-passive solar thermosiphon air heater.
