I purchased and installed this myself. The kit came with most of the things needed to complete the installation except pipeing. I did find that I wanted a second smaller circulator between the tank and the heat exchanger. Also, the dip tube for the solar return was full length and needed to be cut in half. This has probably been corrected because my system has been installed and running for over a year now.

I have never connected the backup element because summer provides all the hot water that is needed and in winter I use it as a pre-heat for the hot water off the boiler. The system will not provide 100% of the required hot water in winter because of the short days here in Maine.

The collectors are good looking and made well.
