We're proud to announce two new exciting features on our website oriented towards rewarding the Alt-E community of renewable energy enthusiasts.
Your Alt-E Profile
Now when you write a post to forum or write a review you can customize your on-line Alt-E profile. You can upload a picture of yourself with your own renewable energy system (or the one of your dreams), write a brief description of yourself and your interests, or leave it completely blank. It's completely up to you.
People will be able to see your Alt-E profile by clicking on your name in the upper right corner of your Forum posts or above your product review. You can also edit your profile at any time via the 'Edit or view my Public Profile' link in 'My Account'
Alt-E Awards
In order to recognize our the efforts of our community members, we've created a system of points and medals.
For each community area of our web (forum, gallery, product reviews, etc) site we have a series of medals and awards to recognize those who participate. When you achieve any of these awards they can be viewed by everyone by looking at your Alt-E profile.
The awards are based on the amount of participation you have in any part of Alt-E Community (reviews, forum, etc). For each area your participate in,you can receive Bronze, Silver and Gold medals. The more you post, review participate, the better the medal you get.

Special Awards
We have created special awards to recognize those who have contributed the most in the Alt-E Community. There are awards for the Top 10 and the #1 active participants in each section of the Alt-E Community. We believe that these people deserve extra recognition for all of the ideas, thoughts and information they share with other renewable energy enthusiasts that frequent Alt-E website.
