Governor Unveils New Plan for Energy Independence

On February 1, Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell released his Energy Independence Strategy that will save Pennsylvania electric consumers $10 billion in energy costs over the next 10 years; reduce our state's reliance on foreign fuels by increasing the production of clean energy; and create more jobs in the energy production and energy technology sectors. The governor also announced that he will soon introduce his plan for combating global warming.
