#1 - Renewable Energy > Technical Discussion: Other > Battery charger on Air-X system

Had seen something on this in the forums before..darned if I can find it again!

We have an AIR-X 400w 12v system on the cabin. It works very well for those weekend get-a-ways and is always charged when we get there. Occasionally we go up there for longer periods and have purchased a charger to run from our generator. (Xantrex XPower 40A Battery Charger). Will I need to disconnect the wind generator completely from the batteries to charge them or is it safe to charge with it connected??? I certainly don't want to damage it.
