battery capacity ratings

Why are 3 different capacity ratings given for any particular battery. eg for a Surrette 500 series 12v (12-cs-11ps) it is quoted on the web specs as Cap (100AH - 1.75VPC)=427 AH
        Cap (75AH - 1.75VPC)=407 AH
        Cap (20AH - 1.75VPC)=342 AH
So which one do I use and what do the others refer to?
Cheers guys, Pete (UK-England)

Re: battery capacity ratings

Those numbers are based on discharge rate, with the average being the 20 hr rate. This means that it will provide the AH stated when the battery is totally discharge over a 20 hr period. If it discharges slower, then you get more power/use out of it before it reaches the same level of discharge.
