The Dankoff Float Switch is a pump down style switch - this means the switch will turn on the electricity when the float is in the up position to pump the water level down. A 'Pump Down' closes the circuit on the rise. *All Dankoff float switches are certified safe for drinking water application, EXCEPT the 25A units which contain mercury and risk contamination if it were to break.
