altE solar panels are manufactured for use in several applications related to OFF GRID living. A 100 watt solar panel can be used for many things. It can power DC appliances such as lighting, water pumps, fans etc. And when coupled with a deep cycle battery, you can store the power from the panel for appliances that need a more constant supply of power, such as televisions, computers, or other sensitive electronics, for example. Additionally, these solar panels are manufactured in accordance to ISO9001 standards and certified by IEC and CSA/US to assure electrical safety compliance.
FREE ELECTRICITY from our greatest renewable resource - the sun - is one of the biggest advantages of solar power. Going off the grid is liberating. And it's simpler than you think! A basic solar power system could include this 100 watt solar panel (or several wired together), a solar charge controller, a deep cycle battery, and an inverter. The battery gets charged by the solar panels and the charger controller regulates the charging process, to ensure the battery is not over charged, and runs as efficiently as possible. The inverter converts the low DC voltage (typically 12 volts) generated by the solar panel to AC and at a higher voltage of either 120 or 240 volts. Most household appliance operates off either 120 volts or 240 volts AC, depending on country. This 100 watt solar panel consists of 72 polycrystalline solar cells, and can function in temperatures as low as 49 degrees below zero and as high as 185 degrees Fahrenheit - those are some extreme temperatures! And with the sturdy aluminum frame, and 3.2mm tempered glass, the durability of this module allows for long term usage and worry-free off-grid living.
