Schneider SW4024 ROCKS!
This baby is the real deal as in inverter charger. Simple to set up, and easy to use. Quite frankly you will also need the control panel (SCP) to monitor and control the system, but to be expected with this sort of setup. It powers the entire off-grid camp including all appliances/lights/etc, washer/dryer, water pump (solar soft start) and septic system lift pump and will run for 2+ days without significant charging. I have only had to use the generator when operating power tools, otherwise we have plenty of power for this 3 season camp.
This was all self-installed. Instructions are very clear and easy to understand, just be educated on proper grounding/safety requirements in advance.
I did not purchase the Schneider Electric charge controller, although its clear to me it would be ideal to have it along with the SW4024 to get a complete picture of the system in one place - I already owned a Morningstar TS-MPPT-45 charge controller (which is also a great unit). I just have to look at two screens to get a complete picture of how the solar system is performing.
This installation is in an off grid camp in (very) rural Maine.
