This controller has been my test bed and workhorse with disaster events while working with Global Solar foldable solutions. While needing parity two panels, this controller has stood the test. At the present, it is used to charge a Xantrex 1500 paired with two banks of 62 & 30W panels. The freezer is rated to run off this setup. When this setup is run, it stays ahead of the draw. The controller throttles back when the freezer cycles off. At peak, the setup is with in spec.

After Hurricane Ike rolled through our area in 2008, we were without power for 7 days. We lost 50% of our freezer. Losing that much food is not good. For days, the chatter of generators was all day and night. Having a silent pollution-free alternative is very nice indeed when the weather is sunny.
