I bought this fan in Nov 2006 and it has been great! It was my first 12V purchase and im glad I got it. It really compliments the wood stove and keeps our off-grid house evenly heated.

I didn't realize it came with a remote. Too cool!

recently however, it has started to make loud clunking noises. It sounds as if the bearings are starting to give out in it (or something?). The fan motor enclosure is sealed closed so there is no way to do any maintenance on it.

I haven't contacted AES to see if they will replace or not. I'll follow up and let you know.
