Xantrex 1750W PROWATT 1750 12V Inverter

Very effective

Im a installer, wind turbine installer. People use to ask for cheap things, and Ive tried to give them cheap inverters, but everyone has failed. Wind systems are more demanding than solar, so cheap inverters become easily garbage. I kept on trying until I got this inverter. Good price for a very robust inverter. I tested in laboratory, and in the field. I burn out many inverters, but this Prowatt 1750 not. It has shown to be foolproof; overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, dust, temperature, and it continues to work.
I opened it, and it looks like old technology, but vey robust, totally proven, and thats why it will keep on the road.
The only problems are inherent for the topology. Its no so efficient (around 80%, Ive measured 83% peak), and voltage signal is modified sinewave, or modified squarewave, whatever.
I have turned on 3/4 hp motors, and 1kW microwave ovens with this inverter. More than that I couldnt get to work. It seems not to have voltage reduction starting, which a new feature in some inverters.
