I live in the Mojave Desert and have been off the Electric Grid for four years. Before purchasing this wind turbine, I was solely on PV panels. After purchasing this unit and installing it as high as I could (42 feet), I can now effortlessly keep a charge on my batteries after the sun goes down (if the wind is blowing, which it does most of the time).
