AltE U Growing; Classes Offered More Often and in Ohio!

Hudson, MA based AltE U is pleased to announce that addition of several sessions of their Massachusetts based IREC certified renewable energy classes for 2010 as well as the addition of classes in Columbus, Ohio. Starting in January of 2010, AltE U will be offering Basic Photovoltaic and Site Assessment for Installers, PV 301 and Intermediate Photovoltaic Design and Installation, PV 302, on a monthly basis.

"We’ve been really excited about the response to our PV series of classes, especially after achieving IREC certification, so this expansion absolutely made sense," explained Sascha Deri, CEO of AltE. "As the interest in renewable energy expands, so does the need for well trained installers, and our hands on classes and workshops really give people the information, experience and confidence they need to become great PV installers."

The classes offered by AltE U are intended to be taken in order, offering a good base of knowledge about photovoltaic’s and then offering hands on experience in the installation of PV systems. AltE U also offers PV 303, Advanced Photovoltaic’s Design and Installation every other month beginning in March and folks who intend to become installers can also take the NABCEP Entry Level Certificate of Knowledge test at AltE U after successfully completing PV 301 and PV 302.

"Our classes are intended to help potential installers to begin their career on the right foot. After completing the classes, our students maintain great relationships with instructors and some go on to become a part of our wholesale program, AltE Direct from which they can buy the components they need for any installation," explained Deri.

In 2010, AltE U is also expanding their class offerings by geography, with PV 301 and 302 also being offered in Columbus, Ohio.

"We have a branch in Columbus, so it was a natural extension of our program to begin offering classes in Ohio. We’re excited to find a new group of renewable energy enthusiasts and to expand AltE U. There’s a great groundswell of interest in renewable energy in Ohio and the Midwest and we’re sure that our classes will be as successful there as they have been in Massachusetts!" finished Deri.

Sessions for PV301 and PV302 in both Massachusetts and Ohio are open for enrollment now. For more information, visit: http://www.altestore.com/classes/schedule/
