The SolarEdge RS485 Expansion Kit provides an additional RS485 port for the inverter and gateway. The kit contains a module which is installed in the inverter or gateway, and has a 3-pin RS485 terminal block. The module allows connecting the inverter directly to a 3rd party monitoring system (Modbus master), or various Modbus slave devices such as batteries and meters, or other inverters. The second RS485 port also enables nested RS485 networks, which is valuable when setting up a communication network for large sites. The kit contains: RS485 Expansion Module, Upgrade card, Cable Tie.
