The Fronius Smart Meter WR is a bidirectional energy meter that reads the power that is fed back into the grid ("Feed-in" power), as well as power that is consumed by the site ("Self-Consumption"). It dynamically adjusts your solar power production, in order to ensure that power sent back does not exceed a certain limit. The Modbus RTU (RS485) interface is faster in response time, and can provide instantaneous power measurement. Together with Fronius Solar.web, the Fronius Smart Meter offers a detailed overview of energy consumption within a home or business. The Fronius Smart Meter is compatible with the Fronius Galvo, Fronius Primo, Fronius Symo and the upcoming Fronius Primo Hybrid inverters.
