  • FAQs:

  • What does the Envoy do? It collects data from your microinverters, and sends the data - wirelessly via the internet - to the Enlighten website for you to view and monitor your system online. It also allows you to download software updates for your microinverters.
  • How often does Enlighten update my system data? Every 15 minutes you should see updated production data from your system.
  • How do I connect the Envoy-S to the internet? If your router supports WPS, press and hold the WPS button on your wireless router for a few seconds, until the WPS indicator begins flashing. If you are using the Mobile App, tap the 'Network' button, tap 'Wi-Fi', then tap your network from the list of available networks. If you are not using the Mobile App, initiate connection by pressing and holding the Envoy-S 'AP Mode' button for 5 seconds.
  • What's the best location for the Envoy-S? It's best to install the Envoy-S at the subpanel, or as close to the load center as posssible. This ensures that you get the strongest possible signal from each microinverter. You want it in a protected space, such as a garage, attic, basement - as long as it's cool and dry. NOTE: Do NOT plug the Envoy-S into a power strip, surge protector , or UPS. The filtering within these devices impedes communication performance, and caauses interference.
  • How much power does the Envoy use? Typical consumption is 2.5 watts of power.
  • How do I monitor the data from my system? Since the new Envoy-S no longer has an LCD display, you have to view it on your mobile device or computer.
