When considering a solar panel, I strongly recommend evaluating how the sun hits your house in the winter months, when you will need your solar panel to work the most, not in the summer months, because I have found it to be very different. The southern most corner of my home stays completely sunny in the summer,so this is where I had my solar panel mounted. I found out the hard way that the southern most corner of my house does not stay sunny in the winter months when the sun is lower in the sky, so my solar panel has not worked at all during the month of December.
