Outback's new Pure Lead Carbon (PLC) Sealed AGM battery is their latest in advanced energy storage technology. Pure lead allows for reduced float current, which means longer backup float life in grid-tied battery backup applications. The carbon that is added to the pure lead plates results in greater cycle life, in both Partial State of Charge (PSoC) and non-PSoC off-grid operations. The batteries are designed for residential or light commercial off-grid, backup, or self-consumption applications. In the same footprint, this is an upgrade to the Outback 200NC:
- 3x the warranty time- 2 yr for 200NC vs. 6 yrs for 200PLC
- Up to 2x the shelf life - 1 year for 200NC, up to 2 years for 200PLC
- Higher cycle life at 50% DoD - 2600 cycles for 200NC, 3000 cycles for 200PLC
- Pure lead + carbon = greater cycle life in both PSoC and non-PSoC off-grid operations. 200NC, you need to operate in PSoC to get the additional cycle life.
