Outback Power announced the launch of their new Nano-Carbon batteries at Solar Power International 2015! See our video as we interview them live at the show! Designed for Partial State of Charge (PSoC) applications, these 100Ah Nano-Carbon batteries are ideal for off-grid solar power systems. With limited sun hours for proper re-charging of standard deep cycle batteries, the need for PSoC technology is greatly needed, allowing for extended battery life in self-consumption applications.

The Nano-Carbon is an enhanced and optimized negative active material formulation which makes it more than just a carbon additive. The high surface area carbon is a specially formulated additive for improving the negative active material in lead-acid batteries. Carbon increases conductivity and adds additional capacitance to the battery. Nano-Carbon improves charge efficiency and allows PSoC operation with improved deep discharge recovery. Maintaining these batteries at a 30-80% state of charge actually increases the overall cycle life.
