Power and Control in a Single Device
The T80 TurboChargerTM integrates Maximum Power Point Tracking, battery charge management, state of charge information and communications into a single device. With 80 Amps continuous output, the has the largest capacity in the industry by over 35%.

Optimum MPPT and Charging Efficiency
The T80 captures up to 35% more power from the photovoltaic (PV) array. Our Patent Pending MPPT algorithm starts early and locks onto the peak power during rapidly changing insolation and temperature.

Energy Monitor Built In
The T80 includes a built-in Energy Monitor using TriMetricTM Technology from Bogart Engineering.   It tracks power production and consumption to calculate the energy remaining in the battery.   State of Charge (SOC) is displayed in Percent Full, Amp-hours, Watt-hours and bar graph format.     In addition, 90 days of energy harvest history is stored in the T80.

Continuous Rating to 45° C
The T80 TurboChargerTM produces full rated power without de-rating up to 45°C ambient temperature.  Above that, the output current is reduced gradually to protect the life of the T80 and then automatically ramped up as the temperature decreases.  High efficiency power circuits and robust thermal design minimize heat generation.   The internal temperature-controlled variable speed fan runs just fast enough to maintain optimum reliability.

Enhance Battery Performance and Life
Supports Flooded Lead Acid (FLA), GEL and Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) batteries. Four stage charging with adjustable set points for all parameters.

Unequalled Communications
The on-board RS-232 and slot for optional add-in cards provide data communication to Remote Readouts, PCs and the Internet. System performance can be monitored remotely and the T80 accepts software upgrades from a PC.

Reduce System Costs
Our efficient MPPT technology dramatically reduces the cost of a PV system by reducing the number of PV panels required, eliminating the need for heavy gauge wiring, and increasing the life of the storage batteries.

Customer Service

I have a T80HV. It was very difficult to get a hold of customer service, although when I finally did, they were extremely helpful. Sad, Apollo doesnt spend more time on ensuring customer service support.

Apollo Solar

As of 24 May 2012, I have been unable to make contact with anyone at Apollo Solar. (I have their 4Kw 48v inverter, T80HV charge controller, and ISM.) They do not respond to email, or phone calls. All I get when I call, no matter which menu option I choose, is voicemail I believe they are either o...

Very Unimpressed with customer service

Unlike Mr. Parish, e-mails to customer service and telephone calls where they promised to call back in a couple hours have yielded exactly nothing. I have two T80s and simply want a firmware upgrade from my present 4.03 to something after 5.0. The two T80s are not in service at this date, so I ca...

Very Impressed with Customer Service.

I installed my 1st T80 charge controller over two years ago followed by a second just weeks after the first. Although new to market as the first 80 amp MPPT charge controller I decided to try it. My first one failed in 2 weeks. A call to Apollo Solar resulted in an overnight replacement while min...
