Founded in the mid 1990s in northern California, IronRidge was acquired by Esdec® in 2019, joining Quick Mount PV and EcoFasten to become part of the largest rooftop solar mounting and racking hardware group in the United States.

IronRidge offers complete roof mount systems for pitched and flat roofs and ground mount systems for ground-based installations as well as free-to-use Design Assistant software and on-demand installer training opportunities.

IronRidge Solar Racking

Engineered to withstand all types of weather conditions, IronRidge products are backed by industry leading warranties and superior customer service.

The latest IronRidge offering includes the new XR Rails in 3 configurations: XR10, XR100, and XR1000. The XR10 is a low profile mounting rail - for light to no snow loads, up to 30 PSF - perfect for warmer climate installs. The XR100 is the most common of the residential solar mounting rails - for heavier load capability, up to 70 PSF.

Then there's the workhorse of the group, the XR1000 - a heavyweight mounting rail for commercial projects, for extreme load capability, up to 90 PSF. The XR1000 is also the rail you would choose for ground-mount arrays.

IronRidge Innovation and Longevity

The company is known for continuous innovation as evidenced by the multiple patents it holds. IronRidge holds patents on things from Bonded Splices (U.S. Patent No. 8,695,290) to Grounding Lugs (U.S. Patent No. 9,865,938) to T-Bolt Bonding Attachment Hardware (U.S. Patent No. 9,819,303). They also have a number of patents pending, just another example of continuous IronRidge innovation.

In addition to a tradition of innovation, IronRidge has been around for a long time—especially when considered against some of their competitors in the solar industry. IronRidge was founded in the mid-1990s. And while this might seem like a trivial fact, it’s something to consider when selecting manufacturers for solar power system components.
