SMA RS-485 Module for SB-TL-US-22 Inverters

The SMA DM-485CB-US-10 is an RS 485 module for SB-TL-US-22 Inverter Series. It is the communication device needed for connecting the new TL series inverters to the web for monitoring. When using the SMA RS485 module, a WebBox (SMASBWEBBOX) will also be needed to provide the interface between the inverters and the available network. It functions with the SMA Sunny Boy SB 3000TL (3 kW), 3800TL (3.8 kW), 4000TL (4 kW) and 5000TL (5 kW) TL-US-22 single phase string inverters. Additionally, it can be used to retrofit Sunny Tripower 3-phase TL inverters to work with an SMA WebBox unit as well. Sunny Boy TL inverters do not come with RS485 ports, this module is necessary to create a basic wired connection to the Sunny Portal. Firmware updates for the DM-485CB-US-10 module are possible with this set up.
