Unhappy with ™ 80HE-1
Very optimistic at the idea of using solar energy to save $$ and it seemed practical given the good sun exposure in our area. The unit lasted a little over 4 yrs which was very disappointing but since it ceased functioning just under the warranty we thought-stuff happens with technology and well simply receive a replacement, and pay the installation cost. Well, here it is just two years later and the appliance is spilling its coolant fluid (anti-freeze) all over the garage floor. Whats more is there will not be another replacement due to the fact that weve already received one on the company dime and couldnt be issued another. One would think a little corporate pride in the product might at least produce a refund/or pro rated dollar amount towards the purchase of a replacement-but noooo. So were faced with either the open purchase of another ™-80HE-1 or revert back to conventional systems…cannot recommend this unit!
