Locate large inverters as close to the batteries as you can, but not in the same compartment unless you construct a shield or mini-compartment). Battery gas "eats" electrical components (and inverter sparks can ignite battery gas).

Thanks Tom. It is nice information. I will definitely try it.

#3 -  Renewable Energy > Wanted > Re: Wanted: Information on steam turbine power generators
steam turbine has almost completely replaced the reciprocating piston steam engine primarily because of its greater thermal efficiency and higher power-to-weight ratio.
the turbine generates rotary motion, it is particularly suited to be used to drive an electrical generator – about 80% of all electricity generation in the world is by use of steam turbines. The steam turbine is a form of heat engine that derives much of its improvement in thermodynamic efficiency through the use of multiple stages in the expansion of the steam, which results in a closer approach to the ideal reversible process.

#4 -  Renewable Energy > Technical Discussion: Other > Re: Wind Turbines on RVs
The workings of wind turbine exactly the opposite of every common house fan. The spinning rotor will then produce energy whereas with your fan energy is used to produce a wind flow. Generally it counts that the faster the rotor spins the more energy it generates.
it depends upon the Wind current causes, Motor, gears and bearings pitch blades,Gears spin and high-speed shaft, which turns a generator that produces alternating current

#5 -  Renewable Energy > RE General Discussion > Re: Renewable Energy Investments
The renewable energy and bioenergy sectors include:
•   biofuels
•   biomass, solid waste and biogas
•   geothermal
•   mini-Hydro
•   marine
•   solar
•   wind

Renewable energy investments are becoming the trend in the investment markets. Increasing the proportion of power derived from renewable energy sources is becoming an increasingly important part of many countries's strategies to achieve reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.

#6 -  Renewable Energy > RE General Discussion > Re: Solar heat pump
Heat pumps are used to save energy. The free Energy element for the heat pump can come from a number of sources. The most common are from the air and from the ground.
