any exciting new PRACTICAL technology out there?

Hello All,

I've recently heard a great deal about supercapacitors, hydrogen generating plants (solar powered--see the Hopewell Project), alternative designs for windmills, solar panel developments, etc.

Anyone out there have any real-life experience with these new technologies?  Any of them worth getting excited about?

I very much look forward to your responses!

Honestly,

I'm excited about lithium ion batteries.  Once the price comes down, plug-in electric cars will become a reality.  Hopefully, the US government will get behind them this time, instead of what they've done in the past.  (See the movie "Who Killed the Electric Car").
