Charging batteries in parallel w/portable charger

Could someone tell me if using a portable 12V "smart" charger to charge a bank of 12V batteries connected in parallel is feasible? And would the only negative effect be a decrease in charge time? I'm wanting to use a 15 amp (or perhaps more or less) charger on sets of 2, 4, and 6 12V 12AH batteries (all the same type but possibly at different states of discharge). Thanks.
