inverters

I am looking for information on how to build an inverter.
The load is 1800watts at 120V for 15 min.
I am using two deep cycle marine batteries.
The store bought 2800w keeps tripping out and the manufacture will not give me the info. to bypass the internal protection.
I would like to build a bare bones inverter for our needs, can you help me out.

Re: inverters

The problem might be with the tiny battery pack you have. What is the voltage of the battery when the inverter cuts out? Most inverters have a "low voltage" cut out to prevent severe damage to the battery.
