DC timer needed

DC timer needed

Hi,

I need a DC timer for my DC appliances. Anyone knows of sites that has such products?

Depending on the amperage it may be necessary to use the vdc timer to pull in and drop out the vdc coil of a high amperage vdc contactor such as those used on electric vehicles.

intermatic makes a digital timer that runs on a single AA or the newer version is AAA.  Anyway it is a DPDT latching switch.  So you can power any loads up to 15A.  It can have multiple on/ off times a week, day or combination.  Best of all it fits in a standard single gang box replacing a regular switch.  It can be overriden by just lightly pressing on the front cover for on and off.

I can't find the part #, but I have seen them at home Depot, Menards, and fleet Farm.  I think even Walmart carries them

DC timer

I need two DC timers for a solar powered waterfall and pond lights.

Take caution with those Intermatic timer controllers. The timer itself may be dc powered but the load contactors may not be dc rated. Direct current has a dendency to either; weld, or transfer the metals from one side to the other, or corode contacts that are not rated for direct currents. Read the specs. carefully.
