Solar powered pump for open loop system.

Hi All, does anyone know where I can purchase a small dc motor that will pump water from my tank to a flat plate collector? I need the pump to run from a solar cell with a max output of 5 watts ? I have seen a system made by solartwin & think I can make it on the cheap Smiley but need a bit of help on the motor side. Any help would be great thanks.

try searching for el-sid. It's a dc powered pump that runs on low wattage. Only compensation is low head.

Hi alan how did you get on with you home made solar panel powered pump. I am interested because I run a
solar water heating, www.aztec-solar-water-heating.com, company in the UK and was wondering about adopting a solar panel driven pump as an alternative to mains powered pumps but found the options expensive aswell

Mark,
