Thin Film versus multi celled modules for a grid tie system?

I’m interested in developing a grid tie system around 3Kw. From a $ per watt perspective the Kaneka 60 60W Thinfilm Solar Panel is around $4 per watt and all others are $4.50 and up. Over 3000 watts, the cost savings going with the Amorphous-Si Kanekas have the obvious advantage. What are the pros and cons beyond that when comparing with those modules that have single or multi crystal cells?
