Looking to dual-power well pump

I'm looking to convert my well pump to dual-power.  I.e., solar and normal electricity.  Would you suggest I replace the existing well pump to one perhaps more efficient?  Also, what other equipment would you suggest?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Looking to dual-power well pump

this is possible. i would suggest looking at the grundfos sq flex series.  they can use just about anything from 30-300 volts.  their range is about 350ft, and each model has different power requirements and flow rate data.
