You might want to read about solar power first.

Also I would recommend calculating your power needs and only after you know your requirements spend money on buying actual solar system components...

Yes... if it is electric then it can be connected to inverter + rechargable batteries + solar panels..

Yes you do loose a little voltage - depending on diodes type.. (0.5, 1 or even 2 volts)
