Works well, but DOES NOT DISSIPATE 1000W in a 12V system!!!
R=0.75 Ohm. U=RxI @ 15V =_ I=20A
Effect = U x I! So @ 15V x 20A = 300 watt (only)!!!
However they can be put up many in parallel.
Quite large. Very rugged. Can take fair amount
of abuse both mechanically and electrically.
Good as dump load DC air heaters.
