Heliodyne Delta-T Pro Direct Ethernet Plug In
I bought the Ethernet version of this controller because I have an extensive wired network in my house. I wanted to be able to view/modify from any computer. \r\n\r\nFirst the pluses, The controller does a great job of controlling the pump. I have the Grundfos flow sensor and five temp sensors. This was a replacement for my old controller. I have two 3 foot by 8 foot panels and am in the Southwestern Arizona desert. It\'s possible to get water up to 170 F with this combination. With it\'s browser interface, it\'s easy to set up and you can monitor temperatures and flow rates in real time.\r\n\r\nNow the minuses. I bought this unit thinking I was going to get a bunch of nice graphs and data to track my solar gain. No such luck. After being in operation for nearly three months, it still gives very spotty results. \r\n\r\nI can have a bright sunny day and the daily graph will start showing some solar gain from 8 AM to noon then nothing for the rest of the day, even though the pump is cycling and the tank continues heating and reaches peak temperatures usually around 4 PM. I even had tech support from Heliodyne log in remotely and they say there is nothing wrong. The other graph that disappointed me is it shows no data for the months of May or June although it\'s been on line since April. \r\n\r\nAccording to the yearly chart: As of 06/21/2009\r\nTotal Production: 58,975.0 BTU\r\nCO2 Offset: 10.6 lbs. \r\n\r\nBut again, nothing showing on the graph for year to date data.\r\n\r\nSo I have mixed feelings for this controller. It does a very good job of controlling and is easy to set up and monitor but it\'s reporting capability leaves a lot to be desired.
